Connectors, Couplings & Hoses

Part Specifications:

  • Manufactured in accordance with MIL-C-19064
  • Female connector typically used in conjunction with FPI’s line of MS22055 oxygen hoses providing quick disconnect capabilities between diluter demand mask and regulator
  • Two Styles - FPI part number 4085 (MS22058-1) includes connector with spring loaded cover to prevent contamination while not in use and a clip mechanism for securing the assembly as needed. FPI part number 4090 (MS22058-2) includes the cover assembly without the clip
  • Bodies are nickel plated brass for improved durability
  • Mates with MC-3A, MC-3M, CRU-60/P, CRU-94/P, MIL-C-83867, and AN safety type connectors
  • FPI part number 5440 is manufactured in accordance with MIL-C-83390 and designated MXU-636/P. A quick-acting, male connector designed and tested for use with anti-g garments such as CSU-13BP and CSU-15AP, it provides controlled inflation, deflation and pressure relief characteristics. The mating connector for this product is MS27755, FPI part number 5348.
  • Also available to support select international military requirements is the legacy connector MS22011-3. Ask for our P/N 4615.

Manufactured per MIL-H-81581, this hose provides connection between the mask hose and regulator. Constructed of wire reinforced fabric with an ozone resistant liner and molded ends, hoses should be ordered to specific lengths as required. Hoses are sold separately (“H” style) or in “A” or “B” styles as noted below. Both comprise of a hose and MS22058 connector with spring loaded dust cover. “A” styles include integrated high-tension mounting clip. This is replaced on “B” styles by an included retainer strap.

Connecting the mask to the regulator hose or oxygen source can be accomplished through various methods depending on the desired system. FPI has a number of options available to meet those needs.

  • FPI P/N 5243 is a non-ejection type oxygen mask hose manufactured in accordance with MIL-PRF-83867D and qualified under QPL-83867. Intended for use with aviator’s oxygen masks in non-ejection aircraft and full-face fire fighters masks, the connector is designed to mate with MS22058 female hose connectors. Maximum pressure drop ratings when connected to the MS22058 range from 1.7” W.C. at 135 LPM to .10” W.C. at 30 LPM
  • For applications requiring bailout capabilities, the most common system is comprised of two connectors. FPI part number 1675 is a 3-pin bayonet connector manufactured per specification MS27796 and secured directly to the diluter demand mask hose. This connector couples with a CRU-60/P interface connector, FPI P/N 6200, with a quick disconnect design allowing emergency egress from the aircraft along with a safety valve which provides notable resistance to inhalation in case inadvertent disconnection occurs. The 6200 construction incorporates a secondary inlet that will attach to the bailout oxygen assembly to provide the pilot with oxygen during descent and includes a dove tail mounting plate. When attached to FPI’s P/N 1636 mounting bracket (AF 57B3657), this plate provides secure mounting of the connector to the parachute harness. The 6200 is manufactured in accordance with MIL-C-38271 and has been approved by the U.S. Government per QPD-38271.
  • Bailout requirements can also be met using FPI part number 1450 (MC-3A). Qualified by the U.S. Government and manufactured per QPD-19246, MS22016-1 and MIL-DTL-19246, this component was the predecessor to the CRU-60/P. It attaches directly to the diluter demand mask, thus eliminating the need for the MS27796 connector, while providing the same quick disconnect element and bailout system connection. Unlike the CRU-60/P, the positioning of the bailout connection is stationary, thus limiting placement of the emergency oxygen system. Alternate part number 4875 (MC-3M) is available providing 180 degree positioning of the bailout connection.
  • FPI P/N 2765 may be used in applications designed to mate with the MS22058 female connector while not requiring a bailout oxygen system. Using the same proven quick- disconnect and safety valve technology; this connector creates a maximum pressure drop of .07” W.C at 30 lpm flow when attached to the MS22058 female connector. Replaces Scott model 7025 and B/E model 118030.

Fluid Power manufactures a number of commercial plug-in connectors and outlet assemblies designed to deliver metered, constant flow requirements.

  • Model 890 Series – ARO Type automatic female coupling provides metered delivery of oxygen. Flow rates are achieved through adjustable porous media ranging from .5 to 8.0 LPM. Provides 1/8 NPT male connection with bulk head cap and dust cover. Similar to Scott P/N 5041 and B/E P/N 170088. Mates with FPI P/N 2305 mask connector with 1⁄4” barb. (Sierra P/N 289-56, Scott P/N 29559 and B/E 119030)
  • Model 4240 Series – AN6009 type outlet, typically found on therapeutic and portable oxygen systems, can supply similar adjustable flow rates between .5 and 8.0 LPM. (Comparable to Scott P/N 5009 and B/E P/N 170086.)
  • FPI P/N 4195 – Manufactured in accordance with Mil-Spec M7560/1-20, this nonmetered plug-in connector is found in many commercial and military applications ranging from emergency drop-down mask assemblies to bail-out and portable oxygen systems. A mate with AN6009 type outlets such as FPI P/N 4240, it provides a 1⁄4” barbed connection for use 3/16” flexible tubing. (Comparable to Scott P/N 5065-10, Sierra 777-37 and B/E 118040)
